Week 1: Intro to Corporate Identity: Activity 2:
Week 1: Intro to Corporate Identity:
Activity 2:
What symbols has the company used to represent the brand?
Does the brand use any Australian symbols or Icons in their design (if so; identify the symbols and their meanings).
Arnotts have used a bird, the parrot as their symbol. Arnott means 'little eagle' which i suspect they have got their image of the parrot from.
What colours have the company used to represent the brand?
The main colour is red, with white, blue and green incorporated into the logo.
What sort of message do you think the colours are trying to convey?
That Arnotts is a strong brand, by using red as their main colour. They have been running for more than 100 years so they needed to make their logo stand out from the rest.
What style of typography has the company used (serif/san serif/italic/bold) and what does this say about the brand?
Arnotts use serif, bold in capitalised letters for their logo. They have used this typography to attract attention to the concept that they are a strong brand. Serifed fonts are more legible to read when printed, this good be another reason why they have chosen this typeface.
