Typeface Research
Write a brief history of the typeface design.
Include the following in your description:

Myriad Pro:
Designer: Robert Slimbach and Carol Twombly
Year: 1991, redesigned 2002
Design period & other fonts:
Slimbach- Caflisch Script, Cronos, Adobe Garamond, Adobe Jenson, Kelper, Minion, Minion Cyrillic, Poetica, Sanvito, Utopia
Twombly- Adobe Caslon (1990), Chaparral (1997), Charlemagne (1989), Lithos (1989), Mirarae (1984), Pepperwood (1993), Rosewood (1993),Trajan (1989), Viva (1993), Zebrawood (1993)
Myriad is a sans serif typeface designed by Robert Slimbach and Carol Twombly. Myraid replaced Apple Garamond since 2002 and was designed for Adobe Systems. It has a descender tail and slanting 'e' structure and is similar to Frutiger font. Myriad has clean, open shapes whose letters fit in well with one another.
Myraid is a popular font becoming useful for both text and display composition. Myraid is a 'family font', which includes Greek and Cyrillic glyphs. The Myraid family consists of: Myraid Pro Black, Black Cond, Semi Cond, SemiExt, Cond, Light, Light Cond, Light SemiCond, Loght SemiExt, SemiCond and SemiExt.
With the Myraid family, the font set is shown in the menu and the bold/italic fonts are not shown in the font menu but can still be accessed under another menu. The Myraid family includes condensed, normal and extended widths in a unlimited amount in size.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
Typography:
1. What typeface is used (serif or sanserif ) and is the typography clear and easy to read on a screen?
Typeface on book cover is serif and is easy/clear to read.
2. How could the designer improve the readability of the text?
The title and author would benefit from not having the background shadow.
Interactivity:
1. What techniques has the designer used to allow you to quickly navigate through the book?
The contents page, search bar.
2. What further interactive features could be added to make it even more accessible?
The Imperial Dread Sea Scrolls
